Senior Bioinformatician
Location: Remote
Hours: Full-time/Part-time
As a (Senior) Bioinformatician, you will join the team that analyzes the genetic, epigenetic and transcriptomic data gathered to represent the collected samples. Your focus will be on single-cell analysis: performing QC on 10x Genomics data, annotating cell types, and making differential gene expression analysis, including differences in genetic background.
As we are a team that collaborates closely but also works very independently, we are looking for someone who is experienced, skilled and can take ownership of the work.
Your qualifications
You hold a PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or a related quantitative discipline, and you possess the following skills & competencies:

expertise in scientific programming, e.g. R, Python;

experience working in a high-performance computing cluster environment

experience working with single-cell RNA/ATAC-seq profiles;

experience working with bulk large-scale epigenetic/transcriptomic data analysis is highly preferred;

understanding cancer biology, cell signalling pathways, or drug response mechanisms is also preferred.
You have passion and dedication for solving hard scientific problems.
You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
You can work effectively under minimal supervision.
